The musical follows an 18-year-old Wednesday Addams who falls in love with Lucas Beineke, a normal boy from Ohio. Wednesday asks her father, Gomez, to keep her secret engagement from Morticia. Chaos erupts when the "normal" Beineke family comes to dinner, leading to exposed secrets, a stormy night of soul-searching, and ultimate acceptance.
